Clothing Detail

We have some new A/W products in at Wallis and I took a few close ups of my faves to share! You probably see Wallis as a fashion store for the middle aged, but they are trying to attract a younger market. I would advise you to go take a look, you might be surprised

Black Military Coat £65: Definitely going to invest in a military coat for the winter. They're trendy, fashionable and classy! Black is a colour to go with everything so you're more likely to get more wear out of it. It is definitely more of a day coat and can be worn with jeans, boots, leggings.. just about anything!

Purple Stud Dress £42: I love the vivid purple colour at the moment, it brightens a look and is fun, feminine and cheerful! I am also loving studded detail! I love the gold and silver studs at the top of this dress - perfect for the evening! Team with black tights, black patent heels and a gold or black clutch for a night on the town!

Ponte Studded Waterfall Jacket £36: This product is continuing the stud detail trend! It just makes a black cardi/jacket so much more interesting with this little bit of aztec detail. This waterfall jacket can be dressed up or down. Wear with skinny jeans, a vest and pumps for the day time and a block coloured dress for the evening!

Visual Merchandising

Once a week I work as a Visual Merchandiser at Wallis. Here are some pics from my work today! I really enjoy doing VM because it trains me into more fashion aspects to retail rather than ordinary shop work. I get an insight and get to collaborate my own ideas into merchandising the products. At Wallis, we have a seperate Window Dresser who does the window and internal mannequins but usually the VM is responsible for this too. One day, if Visual Merchandising is a career path I choose to go down, I would LOVE to work at House of Fraser/Harvey Nichols! Check out my VM work below and let me know what you think :)

River Island £50: Black Print Chain Sandals
Dorothy Perkins £35: Black Toecap Courts
Dune £85: Baby Gurl Suede Studded Stiletto Court Shoes

Floral Print & Vivid Blazer

Another inspirational day look! With floral statement trousers, I have used block colours in the rest of the outfit. This purple blazer brightens the look and works with the trousers perfectly. This look is all about experimenting with colours thinking away from black. A perfect day look! Hope this inspires you!

Like it? Why not hype it on Look Book?

Blazer: M&S, Vest: M&S, Necklace: Topshop, Trousers: Internacionale (as seen in  previous post), Shoes: New Look, Bag: Ted Baker

Matching your lipstick with your blazer/top is a really good way of working your colour palette!

Work Outfit

This is my current work outfit! As I work in fashion retail, I have to wear clothes from the store. So here I am wearing my favourite trend at the moment - a red peplum top! I've teamed it with a really cute pearl collar necklace which adds a feminine touch to any outfit. As always, I'm wearing my DKNY watch and kept the bottom simple with a black skirt and tights. Another trend I am seeing every where at the moment, is wearing rings at the bottom of your finger (see below). I think it's a really cool and unique look so I gave it a go using a ring that I was given as a child. This only works if the ring is too small for you! Let me know what you think!

Nail Varnish: Essie, Ring: Childhood gift

Essie & Marc Jacobs Combination

Essie seems to be the nail varnish brand to use at the moment! So to see what all the fuss was about, I purchased a classic red tone. It is so professional! I applied it yesterday, it still hasn't chipped at all, the colour is vibrant and lovely and it was only £7.99! Bearing in mind I've been to the gym and swimming - activities that usually tend to ruin my nails! I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone looking for long last colour on their nails! Available at Boots.

Essie £7.99
Also loving my Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! fragrance at the moment! It suits my new white vintage desk perfectly and I look forward to a few squirts of it every morning! The scent is floral and pretty, to suit a feminine character! Available at Boots.

Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! £63

Studded Boots

Studded ankle boots are a big trend for A/W 2012. Here are some of my faves:

Topshop £40 (Also available in blue and maroon)
Topshop £90
Office £80
Mango £89.99
Schuh £92

Styled To Rock

Who's been watching Styled To Rock? I have! In case you aren't aware, Styled To Rock is a new reality competition in search to find a fresh new fashion designer! It is produced by Rihanna, and the winner gets to see her wear it on stage in front of thousands of fans. The judges are pop star, Nicola Roberts, fashion designer, Henry Holland, and Rihanna's fashion stylist, Lysa Cooper. It is definitely a television programme that you fashionistas would be interested in!

Catch it on Sky Living, every Thursday at 10pm!

New Purchases

A quick post to show you my new purchases!!!! Even if I can't really afford to buy new clothes, there is nothing wrong with buying a couple of bargains right?! These purchases were from Internacionale: a store that I am absolutely loving at the moment! They are reasonably priced and they provide trends that you would usually end up spending lots of money on! And if you sign up and give them your e-mail, they'll send you a 20% voucher for your next delivery! LOVE IT!

Internacionale £21.99 (Currently in £10 off promotion!!)
As seen in The Sun!!
These trousers are a statement piece so it is best to keep the rest of the outfit simple with block colours. I'll be teaming it with a white or black vest top, a cute pink blazer and gold accessories!
Internacionale £17.99 - So cute! I'm going to wear them on nights out when I don't feel like wearing a dress. I'll pair them with black tights if its cold, black heels, black blazer and some gold accessories!

Look Book

Hey all! I have just started using Look Book! A site where you can post your outfits! It was recommended to me and after checking out the website, I thought it would be a great idea to start posting my outfits on there too! "Fan" me by logging on to my profile:

Much appreciated!

Day Out In Bristol

Monday is my boyfriend and I's day off together so we always like to go out and do something special! This Monday, we went shopping (of course!), went for a lovely drink at a pub called The White Lion in Clifton, which had a terrace outside which overseas the suspension bridge. And then we went a climbed up Brandon Tower - proved how unfit I am! Here are some picture from the day!

Meal at Zaza Bazaar

This was my outfit for a lovely meal out at Zaza Bazaar - one of the largest restaurants in the UK apparently! I am wearing my new blazer and skirt from Marks and Spencer that I had bought earlier that day. They are not normally two colours that I would choose to put together but I didn't think they looked too bad! I'm keeping it classy with black patent heels and my DKNY designer handbag.

I apologise for looking grumpy!!

I have my hair up in a simple classic pony tail to draw attention to my statement necklace from Wallis!

Just a picture to show off the tailoring of my new beautiful jacket from Marks and Spencer :)

Shopping Trip Outfit

This was my outfit for a casual shopping trip! I have mixed two different trends within this outfit: colour blocking with the bright green jeans, and mixing of patterns with my bird print blouse and a leopard print clutch.
