Few Outfit Piccies from BFW

Here are just a few outfit/inspiration piccies from the first week of preparation for Bristol Fashion Week! They were taken on my iPod Touch so I apologise for the awful quality of these images!

Love my pearl collar necklace from Wallis!
My lovely floral rucksack from Yumi - a cute boutique :)

Bristol Fashion Week: Day 1

Day 1 at Bristol Fashion Week!

It went really well - we did a recci around the stores to see what trends each retailer is merchandising at this time so we can create a pending structure for the show. As a Stylist Assistant and Wardrobe Supervisor, I have been given a big folder of information I need to know and as always, an ID badge except this time it says "Stylist Assistant" YAY!

New Hair!

I've had my hair highlighted! My old hair had a dip-dyed effect but I got bored of it, as I do! So I had my hair highlighted and I'm now a honey blonde with some brown bits still coming through! Love my new hair! I'm glad I have a new look for when I start Bristol Fashion Week!

French Manicure

This morning I had a lovely French Manicure for £25 at Vicarage Farm which is a local beauty salon near me. I start work at Bristol Fashion Week on Monday so need my nails to be looking nice! I am also getting a full head of honey-coloured highlights later at Reflections for £115!! Will definitely post a pic of my hair later!

OUTFIT INSPIRATION - How to wear the faux fur gillet

These days you can mix designer with high street! So here is what I have done with this outfit, using this A/W trend tipped gilet from Topshop as a starting point. Depending on your style, you can wear this outfit during the day or in the evening for a nice meal! This would definitely be an outfit I would choose!

Styling Creation

A work colleague of mine came into work today, having just bought this collar chain from River Island but instead using her initiative to transform it into a way of stopping her blazer opening. I loved her idea and just had to take a pic to share on my blog! This idea gives the blazer a sense of diversity and reminds me of the Victorian era!

Tweezer Reviews

Do you tweeze? Been using those same old cheap silver tweezers from Boots for years? Try something new and discover a new brand that will do a better job! Here is my review on three different brands - UrbanistaDirty Works and Models Own - which will be featured in Bliss Magazine. I have also rated them out of ten. Have a read and see which one would be best for you!

Urbanista £3.99
These Urbanista tweezers are a high quality product. They were strong and easy to use with a bright yellow rubber handle for a good smooth grip! They're nice to look at and nice to use! At a reasonable price, they are definitely a good buy! Although I seemed to pinch my skin a lot more using these, than other brands.

Dirty Works £3.99
I loved the cute packaging and case that these petite girly tweezers came in! Although the actual tweezers were quite small which made them more difficult to use than normal sized ones but they'd be perfect to pop in your handbag to take on a day out!

(Not exact pair, couldn't find online image. Find the actual product here, it is called "mini tweezers + case")
Models Own £6
These tweezers were definitely my fave! I can honestly say these are the best tweezers I have ever used. They were very reliable for plucking every little hair! They are the perfect size, and look nice in a lovely pink shade. Definitely worth spending a little bit more on for perfect results!

As an aspiring fashion stylist, my favourite posts to blog about are these! Where I search the latest items at fashion stores and put together different outfit styles to inspire a range of girls and women! Here I have taken a simple, strapless dress from Motel Rocks and teamed it up with pretty pastel accessories.

Beau Fashion

Cute designs like roses and bows are perfect for this look, found at River Island and Accessorize. This is an evening look so a patent clutch and a pair of gorgeous heels are absolute must-haves!

Here is another outfit idea for a night out on the town, if your style is gothy and grungy! Inspirations from and! Hope you feel inspired by this look!

Beau Fashion

Bralets are BIG at the moment, well worn with high-waisted skirts. Unfortantely, this isn't a trend for me as you need a slim figure to pull it off. But these killer boots with the studded heel will give you a fierce new length to your legs! Simple dangly earrings to suit the grungy theme, finishes the look and can be shown off clearly with a messy top bun. Or you can keep them subtle with effortless left-down hair for a hint of casualness with this dressed-up look!

Fearne Cotton Designs at

Fearne Cotton's new A/W 12 collection at is available to buy online now! Here's one outfit idea for you!

Beau Fashion
To give a black and white dress splashes of colour, I would team it with these gorgeous strappy cherry wedges and a sunny yellow skinny belt to clench you in at the waist! No jewellery needed as the dress has long sleeves and a high neck, although a nice cherry coloured statement ring would look lovely!

Cross Trend & New Shoes

Loving my new studded black pumps from Topshop! This style of shoe is best worn with ubran pieces. The "cross" design that is being worn every where by every one at the moment, would be the perfect suited style for these comfy flats! I'm going to team them with my green skinny jeans, and a grey or black blouse/shirt. The cross design is being used a lot in Topshop, Internacionale and River Island - not just in clothing, but jewellery too!

Vectras gold studded slippers: Topshop £28
Gold tone double finger diamante cross ring: River Island £8

White studded cross t-shirt: River Island £16
Black crucific leggings: Internacionale £9.99
White reverse cross vest: Internacionale £10.99
Simple cross pendant necklace: Topshop £7.50
Ottoman Cross Tunic: Topshop £32
