Lilac Dream

I've tried out my new Models Own nail polish shade in Lilac Dream for the first time (£5). I think it's such a beautiful matte colour and so far, hasn't chipped at all. I've been having trouble with air bubbles recently so this is the smoothest finish I've had in a while! I firstly applied a base coat which is really important for the best results. I'm really in love with this cute colour and I think looks gorge in the winter with our icy cold weather. Let me know what you think! xo

Review: No7 Softening Foot Balm

Yesterday I purchased this No7 Softening Foot Balm with a £5 boots voucher I had to be used on No7 skincare! I was so excited to spend it but there wasn't many skin care products that I needed. However I saw this one and discovered I should probably try a foot balm. This balm nourishes and soothes feet with deep-down moisture, so if you suffer with hard skin like me, this product is perfect for you. I applied some cream to the bottom of my feet before bed and popped on my bed socks over night. It's so sleek and easy to apply - just like a normal moisturiser, and it smells so lovely. When I woke up the next morning my feet were ultra soft! Definitely a good bargain buy and will absolutely be re-applying tonight. You can buy the product at any Boots store for £9.95

Just a quick one..

I haven't blogged in over a week :( I am so sorry! Been spending all my time job-hunting as I'm being made in redundant in a couple months - fantastic. I'm going to blog very soon about this great No.7 skin care product I bought today so I promise to be back! I'll just leave you with a couple of piccies of me and my boyfriend. We went for a cute snowy walk the other day! :) Hope you had a great weekend! xo

Doughnut Bun in 1 Minute Tutorial

My latest YouTube video showing you how I create my doughnut buns in just one minute! Enjoy! x

day in the snow

I have absolutely loved today! We've been blessed with a beautiful amount of snow that has painted the town white! I'm sorry to all of the people that hasn't enjoyed the snow due to cars been stuck and not being able to get to work, etc. but I'm just going to focus on my love for snow and its beauty! I have to add that work rang me and told me not to come in, so that did make my day even better! I've took some stunning pictures from my garden, and squeezed in some of myself. There was so many of them, I decided to create a little collage which you can see below. I love snow because it makes the place look so clean and fresh, it's so beautiful and I love wrapping up warm to go for snowy walks. Today me and my mummy built a snow cat and rabbit in the garden (sort of a family joke), which was fun! I hope you all had a lovely day and didn't get hurt! I'll leave you with some beautiful piccies from today... Take care x

fashion & beauty trends for the coming year

First of all, I'd like to say a quick, massive thank you to you beauties that have helped me get to 100 followers! It means so much!
Okay, so in early January I must admit, I was a little unsure of what the trends were going to be this year. So I've done my research and I'm here to show you exactly what's going to be rocking this year and where you can buy the latest pieces. I am so excited! My favourite beauty trend this year is the bold eyebrows. I haven't yet tried it but I cannot wait to and I'll be sure to share it with you! I think the bold eyebrows can either look great or awful, so I'll definitely post with my best advice :) but for now, indulge yourself in these two-thousand-and-thirteen trends!

Video No.2: Applying my morning make-up

Welcome to my second YouTube video! I thought I would do a silent video of myself applying my every-day morning make-up (moisturiser, foundation, concealer, mascara, blusher and lip gloss). I'm usually a lipstick girl but today I fancied the natural look! I have added names of the products on the screen, but drop of comment if you'd like more details. Also I'd like to add that my foundation is NOT this orange in real life, I'm so disappointed that it's shown in a completely different colour :(

Let me know what you guys think!

Life thoughts and goals

Wow, I haven't blogged in a week! I have recorded a new video though, which I shall be uploading very soon!

January is the month that everybody seems to be short of money, and I'm certainly one of those people. I spent hundreds on Christmas presents, I'm constantly taking more money out of my savings and I seem to be going out and eating out a lot at the moment. So for the rest of the month, continuing into February, I'm going to have the girls round for dinner and wine rather than spending loads of money on drinks and food out. I'll also, as painful as it is to say, buy less luxury items such as clothes and shoes :( I'm going to have a really good look through my wardrobe and take items I know I'm not going to wear to the charity shop, and remind myself of some of the other clothes I have!

Recently I've been having more thoughts about what I want to do with my life. Travelling has never appealed to me, but for some reason it's becoming more appealing. I really would love to visit numerous areas in America, such as New York, LA and Hollywood. Sky diving is something that I would love to do but am so scared about! But I'd love to look into it at some point - do it for charity and get sponsors! I'd love to live in London for a while to live that celebrity lifestyle and just shop in Oxford Street and visit the most stylish restaurants and stroll around in my heels whilst getting from place to place on the underground. Ah, there's so much! Let me know what your life long goals are!

Hope you all day a lovely week - I leave you with a pic of myself with a few of the lovely ladies from work on a little night out together! Take care! x

Quick Fashion Haul - My First Video

Oh god, I just recorded my first ever YouTube video! It's so cringey watching yourself! (I swear I just don't sound like this?!) I'm so sorry for the awful small screen and quiet volume - I recorded it on my iPad thinking it would look really good. Gotta learn from your mistakes, right?
So for my first video, I've just shown you a few of my favourite items at the moment to give the audience who haven't seen my blog, an idea of what my style is all about. Let me know what you think!
If you're a frequent follower of my blog, and would like to know more about something I've written about, please drop a comment and let me know :) and also if there is anything you'd like me to blog/video about, whether it's a certain style or how I do my hair. I'm really excited to post more videos!

Here is the top I am wearing in the video :)

I heart Mondays

Mondays are known to be every body's worst day of the week. For me, it's one of my favourite because my boyfriend and I get the day off together! I didn't really have time for photos today unfortunately, but I managed to squeeze in a few rubbish ones - as usual! I wore my new DKNY bag today - it's bright pink (my favourite colour!) and has the option of a long or short handle. And it always matches my lipstick!
I've had my tragus pierced for a while, but when I had it done I was determined to have a ring put in it because that was the look I liked at the time. But recently I decided I wanted something a littler "prettier". So today I purchased this CUTE pearl bar. I'm definitely prefering this! Take a look below :) Hope you all had a nice day! x

Leopard Print: Outfit of the Day

Today I am off to visit Nanny and Grandad. They bought me these amazing leopard print court shoes for Christmas so I wanted to wear them round. I've worked my outfit around the shoes - lighting is awful as the sky was a dull grey all day. I didn't have any leopard print clothing so I threw on this old scarf that I've had for years! It works pretty well to bring the outfit together, though. The green jeans break up the black and are a great contrast against animal print. My hair is pretty boring today - it's Sunday, it's allowed! Let me know what you think of the outfit :) Have a lovely day!

Dogtooth & Boots - Outfit Post

Hello girlies! Here is a little outfit posts - I understand the choice of location and lighting is awful. These were taken in my living room and were a little sper of the moment, so I've had to crop half the images up. Point is I wanted to show you guys what I was wearing! Now, this was the first time I wore my new patent knee high boots (Christmas pressie from the boyfriend!) so I was so excited. As my new years resolution is to be more diverse with my hairstyles, I decided to wear a quiff which I wasn't too sure about at first as it was maybe a little old fashioned. But I thought it worked well with my outfit, anyway!

I love them SO much!
Next £42
Rocking the "the photographer just made me laugh" look!
(Managed to get this one in normal size for some reason?!) Excuse the living room...
Pink blouse: Wallis
Boyfriend coat: Topshop
Broche: Vintage fair
Trousers: New Look
Boots: Next
Watch: DKNY
Same again, but without the coat :)
My amazing bargain dogtooth trousers from New Look! £10 in the sale! Love them - I think they're rather slimming and I love their tight fit! Great with knee high boots for a horse riding kind of look!
So there ya go! Hope you like it - I'm trying to write more outfit posts at the moment. But I definitely need to work on location. Let me know what you think. Hope you had a great day!

Doughnut bun & smokey eyeshadow

I'm really proud of myself at the moment - I'm finally able to create a doughnut bun on myself! I've owned this doughnut for so long and now I can finally wear it! I've worn it a few times now but wanted to post about it :) I hope this is of some inspiration to you! Please let me know if you want to know how I achieved my look.

Sorry, the picture is a bit wonky!
The beauty products that created my look:

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Eyeshadow in Peacock Blue Shimmer & Lilac Whimsy Satin
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil in Graphite
Maybelline Volume Express Mascara
Estee Lauder Day Wear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme
(I'm obsessed with Estee Lauder products)
This is my favourite moisturiser ever. I apply it under make-up or to dry areas on my face before I go to bed. It's so soft and has a lovely smell of cucumber. You don't have to apply much at all, which makes it last so much longer than other moisturisers. It's a little pricey at £39 but I promise you it'll last forever and you won't be disappointed. You can purchase it at any Estee Lauder counter, normally found in drugstores such as Boots and John Lewis.

I received this in a gift set. It's a cute little compact that you can carry around in your handbag. These are the shadows I used to achieve my slightly smokey eye today. I used the brush provided, but I know some people like to use their own proper eye shadow brush which is fine. Apply the lighter shade along the whole of your eye lid, then a small amount of the darker shade in the outer corners of your eye lids and blend in using the brush. Finish with a little mascara and you're good to go! I also applied some eyeliner on the bottom corner of my eyes to finish the look but this is optional :)

I don't normally post about beauty, but it makes a nice change every now and again if I'm pleased with a look I achieved!

Hello 2013

It's a brand new year! So I'm going to take a moment to reminisce on what I have achieved in the last year (and you should too!)

Achievements in 2012
- Completed & passed my A Levels
- Promotion at work
- Had my first holiday abroad with friends
- Met a lovely boyfriend
- Got signed by a model agency
- Gained blog followers
- Work experience at 2 magazine publications
- Higher role working for Bristol Fashion Week
- Bought a brand new designer hand bag

This year I need to take more outfit posts, like my fave blogger, Dulce Candy. That is my main blogging goal.  You can read my post on New Years Resolutions here for some more inspiration. I've created a collage of stylish images from myself that I've used throughout the year...

Collars have been a massive trend this year, which you can see a few times in my collage, so I'm so glad it's continuing into 2013. I love having statement nails, top buns and wearing vibrant colours. But most importantly, I wear my style with a smile!

Quote of the day:
"Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be. Because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do."
