Bristol Fashion Week

It's that time again! Bristol Fashion Week is back and going to be bigger and better than ever! This week we've been going round all the retailers styling hundreds of outfits (yes, hundreds). This season you can expect to see lots of tartan, embellishment, winter pastels and animal print.. all packed into one show, whilst squeezing in a couple of celebrity favourites - Mark Heyes and Andrew Barton to present the show.

Live near Bristol? Purchase your tickets now here to guarantee you a place! Here's a little collage teaser from the S/S 13 show to show you what you should expect!

A/W With Next

Loving Next's A/W collection this year! I was lucky enough to attend the press launch where I was one of the first to view the collection. To celebrate and share my love for the brand, I've put a few outfits together using 3 of their key pieces for the season. I want to promote Next as a trendy go-to brand for us younguns as I think their market lies within 30+ at the moment. Let me know your thoughts!

My favourite A/W13 Trends

The Roll Neck (Topshop £15)

There's something cosy and comforting about the idea of covering my neck when it's cold. I can't wait to style mine with a big chunky coat and a beanie! This lime tone will blend perfectly with the gorgeous autumnal colours. Also available in grey & navy. Buy here

Beanies (River Island £8)

They are so cute! Beanies are THE hat for A/W, come in so many different colours, some with embellishment and so many designs. They are easy to wear day-to-day accessories and are rarely any more than a tenner! Buy here

Midi Rings (ASOS £8)

Midi rings are the latest thing and so much cooler than regular rings! They look great with stiletto nails or funky nail art. Spice it up with stud and heart shapes like these!

Dungarees (Miss Selfridge £49)

People are still feeling a little nervous about the dungarees, but trust me, everyone will just be thinking how frickin' cool you look. I love full length - all you need is a t-shirt and the outfit is complete. Not satisfied with the price? Primark do some for around £20. Buy here

Midi Skirts (Boohoo £15)

They're continuing through into A/W, but not the tight body con skirts that we've been wearing. I'm talking big, 'puffy' midi skirts - a statement piece to be teamed with kitten heels. This leather number is more suited for winter, especially with the boots! Just add some red lippy to finish! Buy here

Small chunky heels (Lavish Alice £35)

Everyone loves a good cheap copy, so I was pretty happy when I came across these boots from Lavish Alice. Your usual boots like these cost around £80 (Topshop/Office). Small chunky heels are so easy to walk in and give you height, without the pain at the end of the day! These chunky black rock chic boots are a staple for the upcoming cold weather. Buy here

gorgeous hair is the best revenge

I got a new fringe!!!! I am so excited about this because I've had the same long hair for years and it took me so long to grow it too, but I fancied a change and thought I'd be brave! I ALMOST didn't get it, but I'm so glad I did! I really like it! Aaaaah

look how far you've come

I saw this image on Tumblr when flicking through for inspiration, and it made me stop and think for a moment. I always moan about how much I work for free and I'm always worrying about never getting my dream job. Wondering if there will ever be a good ending to all the work I do. Because working 6 days a week (5 of which for free) isn't easy. Was not going to uni a good decision? Will I ever get out of retail?

But not once have I stopped and thought, "look how far I've come".

Make a list of everything you have achieved in the past year. Even if you're not where you want to be right now, I bet you're closer than you were this time last year. Am I right? Here's my list..

Now make a list of your goals and things you need to do to get where you want to be. Which list is longer? Not only will you see how far you've got to go, but you'll see how far you've come. And that's what we deserve to celebrate. So now it's the weekend, go do just that...
