Current Beauty Favourites

Hello lovelies! Today I wanted to talk to you about my current beauty favourites, as I've recently found myself relying upon sooo many makeup and skincare products - it just felt right to post a big review on everything I'm loving right now! All of the products I'll be mentioning came into my life between June and now so I've had plenty of time to test and discover a true review of them. Also, I recently bought a big white marble tile from B&Q, so I hope you like the cute flatlays!

I had heard so much about the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. When I was exploring the duty free shops on my way home from New York in June, (as ya do!) I decided to pick it up. I've used my trusty Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation since a teen, but occasionally in the warmer weather or if I'm popping out, I do prefer to apply lighter coverage. And after one application, I could definitely understand what all the fuss was about. I loved the dewy finish and how easy it was to apply with the small applicator it comes with. The only downside for me, is that after about 6 wears, I noticed the foundation running out already. You can definitely tell by the size of the pot that isn't going to last that long. But I absolutely love the way it looks and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a gorgeous luminous complexion!

One day I was watching a Jeffree Star tutorial and he tested these Milani Amore Mattalics Lip Cremes. I instantly became obsessed with their beautiful metallic finish and I simply HAD to have them. Unfortunately Milani is based in America, so I had to do a little Googling before discovering Cocktail Cosmetics - a UK website where you can buy some American brands including Milani, LA Splash, Gerard Cosmetics and even Jeffree Star Cosmetics. So YAY, within 3 days of ordering these 2 babies were mine! The left shade is called Cinemattic Kiss, a super soft pink and the left is Dramatic Diva, a hot barbie pink. Not only do they look amazing, but they're scent is dreamy!! So sweet and delicious. I'm obsessed. I surprisingly lost all desire to try out the Kylie Cosmetics Metallics after receiving these!

I have been turning to this Madara Moon Flower Rose Beige Tinting Fluid a lot during the past month! This acts as a tinted moisturiser, the perfect alternative to foundation for summer days when it's hot. I was keen to try a BB cream for the summer, but when I came across this tinting fluid, I thought it would do just the job! Whilst providing glowing light coverage, the formula illuminates and evens out the skin tone. The scent is something I had not come across before - it had a very grass-like smell. But if anything this just reassured me that the product was made from totally natural and organic ingredients, which I love. It's also vegan and cruelty-free which is something I've been looking more into recently. I'm personally not vegan but I'm a massive supporter of cruelty-free beauty. I definitely love this product - it makes me feel confident without having to apply loads of makeup.

Who hasn't been loving Zoella's new Sweet Inspirations range?! As soon as the collection became available, I headed to Superdrug and bought myself the Body Mist, Double Créme Body Lotion and Bath Latte. Whilst I've been completely obsessed with all of these products, because the scent is so amaaazing, it is the body mist that I have been using the most. As it's a mist and not a perfume, it's the sort of product that you can smell for a few seconds and then disappears. But oh my, those few seconds are heaven. I spray it during the day for a quick pick-me-up or when I'm out and about and in need of a little refreshing. If you haven't tried this collection of products yet, you're missing out! I promise you'll fall in love with the delicious macaroon and almond inspired scent.

The Body Shop Oils Of Life was another product that I'd seen a lot in blogger hauls. I've always been obsessed with The Body Shop skincare products, and I had recently started wearing facial oils to bed so I decided to spend the £28 and give it a go. The oil is infused with Black Cumin seed oil, Camellia seed oil and Rosehip seed oil - a beautiful blend to revitalise skin, instantly replenish moisture and revive radiance. I wore the oil to bed, woke up the next day and definitely noticed a difference. As the description says, my skin actually felt more radiant and plump. It has a beautiful smell and left my skin feeling super soft. I believe this is definitely worth the investment.

I mentioned Jeffree Star earlier on in this post - I've been obsessed with his makeup tutorials recently so found myself researching his brand, Jeffree Star Cosmetics. As it's all shipped from the US, it was probably the most expensive purchase I've ever made for 2 products. I bought this Velour Lip Scrub in 'Strawberry Gum' and also his Velour Liquid Lipstick in 'Prom Night'. Shipping was $10 and then I had to pay another £12 to take it from the post office (something I was not aware of when I ordered them)! However, I was so happy that I had finally got to try these amazing products, and I haven't stopped using the lip scrub since. The formula is edible too, so it's pretty dreamy when you lick off the strawberry gum flavoured scrub. If you're based in the UK, I'd recommend buying them from Cocktail Cosmetics to avoid the horrendous shipping costs. I definitely can't fault this product though!

I received this Jimmy Choo Blossom Fragrance for my 22nd birthday in June, it is so gorgeous! This is the 40ml size which as you can see, is actually pretty tiny so no doubt I'll be buying a bigger bottle soon. As if the beautiful pink packaging didn't reel me in enough, the gorgeous sweet scent is something I can no longer live without. With notes of sweet pea, rose, berries and citrus, you can begin to imagine how amazing it smells! My favourite perfume has always been Chanel Chance, and it is still up there in the faves, but this Jimmy Choo scent has got me reconsidering. I've been wearing it every day!

Vegan & cruelty-free makeup and skincare brand, Seraphine Botanicals have recently launched their brand new Tinted Rose Balms and this 'Damask' shade is so beautiful. The lipstick is so buttery and soft, it makes my lips feel moisturised, rather than dry like some lipsticks. As you may have been able to tell from this post, I am a lover of bright pink lip products. I absolutely fell in love with this shade, and it actually does smell of beautiful roses. They also have 3 other shades if pink isn't your thing. It's gorgeous for summer, but I'll also be wearing in the winter to add some colour to my face!

I've always been a fan of relaxing aura sprays for my pillow - I think it's important to take time and heal any stress from your day. I've recently been trying out this Therapie Roques O'Neil Restore Aura Spray, which by the way, is award winning! Designed to spray onto the face for an instant quick-fix of calmness and relaxation. It contains an infusion of organic floral waters, plant extracts, space clearing oils and centering crystal essences of Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Aqua aura. Every day I've been spraying the fine mist to my face, and also on my pillow at night to help me sleep. Therapie Roques O'Neil also recommend that you use before and after meditation or yoga sessions! I keep this product permanently on my office desk, and when it's not there it's on my bedside table ready to spray on my pillow. I'd definitely recommend to anyone passionate about living a calm and happy life!

Lip Love Beauty Subscription

This month I'm excited to show you my July Lip Love bag! For those of you that are unfamiliar with Lip Love - it's a monthly, cruelty-free beauty subscription that includes 4 full-sized products plus a cute makeup bag with a design that changes each month. All for $20.95 per month (approx £16).

So let's talk about the exciting products inside their July "I Love Summer Days" bag!

This blusher is a gorgeous natural rose shade which is perfect for summertime. The formula feels silky smooth and is super pigmented. I'm definitely more of a blush girl, rather than bronzer, so I really look forward to wearing this blush with my girly summer makeup!

These shades are beautiful!! I swatched them on my fingertips (see image below) and they were super pigmented too. They feel velvety smooth so I have no doubt this will be the perfect palette for blending and smoothing across the eyelid perfectly. The middle pink shade is my favourite!

I love how unique this product is - I've never come across anything like it before! This is a creamy tinted balm which smells so fruity & delicious (hence the dessert-inspired theme of Trifle Cosmetics!). This particular shade is a fuschia pink (my favourite) and can be worn upon the lips & cheeks.

I have actually tried So Susan's Luminous High Coverage foundation which I could easily compare to my Estee Lauder Double Wear as it provides such long-lasting high coverage wear. So I'm excited to try this Soft-Focus formula as it may be a great alternative for hot days, where you don't fancy wearing lots of thick makeup. It's also infused with Rosehip Oil & Grapeseed Extract to nourish and heal dry skin, which makes me very happy as I do suffer with dry skin a lot in the summer!

Don't be put off by the dollar sign on their website! If you live in the UK, you can sign up and the money will automatically be taken out of your account in the English exchange amount which is roughly £16, depending on which subscription you choose (monthly, 6 month, 12 month).

All Lip Love updates will be shared on the So Susan social accounts, so be sure to go follow them!
