The Perfect Matte Lip

It's that time of year that I love wearing more dark, daring shades on my lips. No matter what the season, I'm not really a nude kinda gal, as I don't really think they suit my skin tone. So in the summer I'm all about bright pinks, but in the autumn and winter I love wearing vampy shades. Just like this Sleek MakeUP Matte Me Lip Gloss in shade 'Old Hollywood'. 

Sometimes dark liquid lipsticks can apply quite patchy but I must admit, I didn't find this problem with this brand. The formula is silky smooth and dries quickly, leaving a highly-pigmented matte finish. I found that it lasted hours too! Even after eating and drinking, the colour had stayed put. 

For dark shades like this, I would recommend applying a lip liner first. This outlines your lips to ensure the perfect shape, and avoids bleeding of the formula. I found the perfect match with Primark's Lip Liner Pencil in 'Wine' for only £1! 

I absolutely love this shade for Autumn and I'll especially be wearing it to Christmas parties. Maybe I'll even add a little glitter on top! I would highly recommend Sleep MakeUP for a liquid lipstick formula that is long lasting, silky smooth to apply and does not appear patchy.
